Jenison High School Varsity Grabs Lead in Fourth Inning for Victory Over Zeeland East
Jenison High School Varsity defeated Zeeland East 4-1 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with Jenison High School Varsity batting in the bottom of the fourth when Emily Mouat singled off of M Greeve, driving in one run.
Jenison High School Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Emily Siler drove in one run when she homered.
In the top of the second inning, Zeeland East tied things up at one. An error scored one run for Zeeland East.
Siler earned the win for Jenison High School Varsity. She threw five innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out one, and walking zero. M Greeve took the loss for Zeeland East. She tossed four innings, giving up four runs, four hits, striking out three, and walking one.
Emily Mouat and Siler each drove in one run to lead Jenison High School Varsity.
