Siler Throws Perfect Game Over Union, Takes Victory For Jenison Wildcats Varsity
Emily Siler was perfect on the mound on Tuesday to lead Jenison past Union 16-0.
The Wildcats secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. Kaitlin Johnson, Toni Freyling, Katie Seelinger, Janna Schuurman, Lauren Kunnen, and Kassidi Hill powered the big inning with RBIs.
Jenison put up nine runs in the second inning. Jenison’s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Johnson, Freyling, Abbi Morse, and Freyling, walks by Schuurman and Kunnen, by Seelinger, and an error on a ball put in play by Hill.
Siler was the winning pitcher for Jenison. She lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero. Jenison had 13 hits in the game. Evelyn Blood, Freyling, Morse, and Siler each racked up multiple hits for Jenison. Blood went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Jenison in hits.
